Today was one of those days where everything was a bit cozy. Bit of work ion the morning and then family time for the rest of the day. And for a good portion, family time meant playing around with my three-year-old son.
Goodness, he is at a fun age.
The highlight of the day for me was our trip to the park. We kicked a ball around, went down the slide a few times, played in the sand box, and of course we did a little hide and seek.
His version of hide and seek might not be the exact game you are thinking of. Sure, we take turns hiding and seeking, but it is also very common for him to give me little pointers like “Hide at that big rock.” Also, if he thinks I haven’t noticed him he will call out “Over here, Daddy.”
And, of course, whenever we find each other we must take a few moments to celebrate and laugh together.
I swear, I love this kid so much.
