Imagination Sandbox

Today’s title is meant quite literally.

My four-year-old son and I were playing at the park. After a good amount of running and sliding, he wanted to play in the sandbox.

It was a grand time. We dug and made little mountains. But what really cracked me up was when he announced that Bucket turned evil and started burying all the other toys. My job, as the hero, was to dig out all the toys.

Later, when the power of imagination turned all of the sand into mud, my job changed to asking for help of the new hero, Bulldozer, and letting Bulldozer know what toys were stuck in the mud.

I know I’ve said it before, but this little guy is pretty awesome.

And, yep, he is wearing a Batman cape. I forget why he decided to turn it around. Maybe after wearing as a normal cape for the last several hours, he just wanted a change.

What a fun kid.
