Bring on Spring Break

I’m one of the lucky ones. I’m an adult who gets a spring break. For just under three weeks I won’t need to go into school.

Not that that means I won’t be busy. Part of my spring plans include another camp. Four days managing a group of kids in hopefully snow covered mountains. I’m looking forward to it. After so many camps I’m starting to feel that some of the people I am closest to are the other camp people. We don’t always have an easy time getting together outside of camps, but once we come together good times are had. Plus, outdoor fun.

Yeah, I’m looking forward to it.

And there is one more job I will be attempting over the break. Writing. I haven’t been able to keep up the pace I was hoping for this year. However, I am still in a place where I can catch up. And even more fortunate is that the Mrs has said she is willing to give me time to write during the break. Now, I’m not expecting 8 hour writing days, but it would be nice to get any time. Of course that means she’ll need to watch Leo during those times. I’ll need to do something nice to show my appreciation. Is it good or bad that my first thought was that I should try and take care of some of her share of the household chores?

I am such the romantic.

I’m the middle of writing this one of my birds flew over to tell me that this is enough for tonight. Who am I to argue?
