I had a bit of an adventure today and would love to share the full details. The only problem is I also spent the entire evening in Papa mode.
Don’t get me wrong, Papa mode is awesome. Me and my little guy played and sang and danced. We laughed and even tickled a little. The Mrs. did a little meal prep before her own plans for the evening, so all I had to do was add rice to the fixings she had prepared for a delicious meal for the little guy.
Then we brushed his teeth, because my boy likes to do things for himself but still needs a little help. He got a little sleepy and wasn’t happy about that, but we managed a little bit of a snuggle before he settled off into dreamland.
I just got him tucked into bed when the Mrs. came back home and we shared some of the details of our respective evenings. Just when I was about to go and write a blog post full of shameless self-promotion she offered me a back massage.
Here we are about thirty minutes later and I am just too relaxed to crow about myself. As for just being pleased in general, I think a lot of that has to do with the darling and awesome combo of son and wife. Both deserve both adjectives so don’t worry about decoding which is which.
And now I’m going to crawl into bed and read a comic book or two. Maybe three if I can stay awake that long.
